About Burstamp

Burstamp commenced trading around 1995 under the name Burpengary Stamps.

In 2005, we changed our identity to Burstamp – apart from any other reason, it is easier to say and spell.

Burstamp supplies quality stamps of Australia and States, New Guinea, Papua and broadly from the British Commonwealth. We have particularly focussed on early New Guinea and Papua and the difficult Australian Postage Due issues.

We produce regular Postal Bid Sales and are committed to participating in major stamp fairs around Australia.

At Burstamp, we believe it is important to cater for the needs of a diverse range of philatelic clients, so we endeavour to stock stamps ranging from pristine condition for serious collectors to reasonable grades for hobbyists – all priced very fairly for the grade supplied.

We have a strong client service ethos and are committed to participating in the Australian philatelic market for many years to come.

About Burstamp’s Principal – Stewart Robbins

Stewart is a former Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and recently left his accounting job to pursue a full-time career as a stamp dealer. Prior to that, Stewart ran Burstamp as a part-time business.

Stewart has been a member of the Caboolture (Queensland) Stamp Club for many years and has been in the position of President of the club for more than 10 years.

He has been an active member of the Australasian Philatelic Traders Association (APTA) for 15 years, 9 of those years serving on the APTA National Executive. Stewart served as President of APTA for the 2013 calendar year.

Stewart has been married to Leanda for 26 years and they have 2 adult sons (Jeffrey and Matthew). Since 1988 they have lived in Burpengary, a northern suburb of Brisbane, Queensland.
